Wonky head scrub bull with the double

A couple of weeks ago I was hunting some prime NT creek line country with Marrakai when this fellow materialised out of a tributary creek line running off to one side. He did not see us at first and although he was on my side of the creek line, became fixated on Tony as he moved onto the small sand bank of the main creek line to investigate the intruders in his domain. He was completely oblivious to my presence, a mere 25m away on his level. A perfect broadside shot was presented and with little ceremony, a 500 Gr Woodleigh from the right barrel of the 470 hammered through his left shoulder and lodged under the hide on the offside. He staggered and attempted to run but had nothing left in the tank as the left barrel settled matters. A great little hunt in a very productive area!
