"Thought everyone might find this series of photos pretty cool! I was roughly 15 yards
from the old bull, using a Verney-Carron .450NE double rifle, pushing a 480 gr projectile,
at roughly 2,150 FPS. Two quick shots, and he never left his muddy wallow!
When guiding/hunting in Africa, I now carry a Verney-Carron .577NE double. In this instance,
I borrowed the guide's gun, for this close-up hunt!"
