That would be great - according to COTW, like the 9.3x62 - it has literally, an improved-type case shape. Specs. being .471" base, and .460" shoulder - that's only .0055" taper per side. The standard Ackley IMP case has a .454" shoulder and .469" base for .0075" taper per side. When developing loads, I find the Improved cases difficult to 'read' as the pressure climbs, so I only use my little finger for extraction. Still, even with that, I usually find myself backing off before any of them have ever become sticky, just because I figure this case shouldn't be putting out these velocities with these bullet weights. The improved cases can be puzzling - but are amazing. |
