Wet Season Hunt

A video maker wanting footage of buffalo hunting gave us enough reason to get out and stalk a few buffalo. Due to a poor wet we were able to access areas usually out of reach at this time of year.
Below is Pato getting ready for a first light start. Looks like an out take from Wolf Creek.Rifle is a 450/400 Blanch.

This boar snuck up on Pato while he was having a good sleep in the mud. Maybe it was the other way round ? Decent size boar either way.

Myself with a nice old bull stalked through the swamp in the back ground. Rifle is a commercial mauser in .308. I like bulls like this, he had decent length but really thick heavy horns well worn from use. Some one must have said something funny as this photo was being taken. The stalk and shot was caught on film, including me falling in the swamp.

Junior Pato with the camera man in hot persuit. Pato wore him like a back pack for most of the trip.

Finally he broke free.Rifle is an LSA Lee Speed in .303
