Matt- commercial crop. Trial plot of about a 1000acres. Grows very well with high yields expected. Monsoonal rains and machinery breakdown put the harvest dates back. Birds where a major problem. Scare guns run continuously , also patrolled by employees to shoot/ scare birds from landing.
Part time shooters also helped out.
Crop was fenced with pig mesh and kept most pigs out. One got in and caused a heap of damage, chopper called in and shot.
