I have the full rules and such if anyone wants them?? Not sure why they kept the pitt Island and wapiti thing in there if you only need 7 of 10?? Oh well... Cheers Matt The Malek Award Committee is excited to announce the introduction of two new trophies: The Malek Trophy for Australian Game and the Malek Trophy for New Zealand Game. The Malek Trophies recognize the importance of Australia and New Zealand as hunting destinations in the South Pacific. If you have clients who you believe may have met the requirements listed above or who may be able to complete the requirements by the due date, please feel free to contact them immediately with information about the Trophies. Applications for the 2013 Malek Trophy for Australian Game and the Malek Trophy for New Zealand Game close on October 31, 2012. Application forms A and B for the Malek Trophy for Australian Game and the Malek Trophy for New Zealand Game are attached for your convenience, together with a copy of the Rules and Regulations for the Malek Awards and Malek Trophies. Applications should be received by the due date and addressed to " The Malek Award Committee" at the address or fax provided on the attached forms. Summary • Applicants for the Malek Trophy for Australian Game and the Malek Trophy for New Zealand Game are required to take any seven (7) of the species available in Australia and New Zealand , respectively. • No more than one (1) of these species may be taken ranch-style. • All game species submitted for the award of the Malek Trophy for Australian Game must be taken in Australia . • All game species submitted for the award of the Malek Trophy for New Zealand Game must be taken in New Zealand . • Games species taken outside of Australia or New Zealand remain eligible for the JJ. Malek Grand Slam Award or the Malek Golden Award but are not eligible for the Malek Trophies for Australia and New Zealand • Successful applicants may later apply for the JJ. Malek Grand Slam Award or the Malek Golden Award provided they meet the requirements of those awards. • Previous winners of the JJ. Malek Grand Slam Award and the Malek Golden Award are not eligible to apply for the Malek Trophy for Australian Game or the Malek Trophy for New Zealand Game • A $150 application fee applies to each Malek Trophy. • The Malek Trophies will be presented at the Dallas Safari Club Convention in January of each year. Malek Trophy for Australian Game (7 of the following 10 species) Buffalo Banteng Chittal Sambar Hog Deer Red Deer Fallow Rusa Goat Boar Malek Trophy for New Zealand Game (7 of the following 10 species) Tahr Chamois Fallow Sika Red Deer Sambar Wapiti Goat Boar Whitetail (In place of the Whitetail, hunters may choose to hunt both the Pitt Island Ram and the Fiordland Stag - the Pitt Island Ram and the Fiordland Stag will be count as one specie for the purpose of the Malek Trophy).
