Weekend hunts 50 cal

Had a good weekend. Got a couple of scrubbers and a horse with the pet meater good to watch a professional at work. Picked up a few good tips. Looked for a few more scrubbers and found lots of pigs but no scrubbers.
Went for a late arvo hunt with Joey and got a small boar feeding in a lagoon. Let him make it to the edge and neck shot him on the run with the 7x57. Went on to a channel and found a few in the thick stuff , but didnt get any. Joey got her fist paper wasp stings. Not real happy.
On the way back Joey wanted to get some pics , so I drove on to a dam and left her at a gate. Arriving at the dam I spotted a brumbie, about 600m across the flat. Moved to get a shot and got to about 240m and it started to move. when it stopped side on I placed a 145 from the 7x57 behind it sshoulder. Hit it again at around 300m dropping it on the spot. Second shot wasnt needed the first had passed thru for a double lung shot. Boned him out in the last light.
plenty of fires around at the moment and Joey got a few good pics.
Hunted with the 50 cal the next day and found a nice boar hit him a bit high with the first 385 grainer and after a bit of a follow up and slow reload . Hit him again dropping him on the spot. Found the second projectile in his neck under his ear. (Raking shot).
