Spent most of the weekend looking for scrubbers and Buff. Found the scrubbers on Friday, but held of for the pet meater to arrive. Processed a couple of porkers for the freezer and got a few pigs with the 338 and 185 barnes, one was a good boar at around 160m . Back after the scrubbers Sunday morning and turned up nothing in the morning. So went after some pigs on the floodplain. Got a good boar in some thick stuff, with the 7x57 and then found a small mob and took one each. Continued on to check out the floodplains, as it was the first time we could access the area. The hymenacni is very thick and in some areas head high. Water levels are still very high. Found one more small boar and Chris missed him at about 180m with the 243. Very windy so not an easy shot. travelled back to the homestead to find the pet meater had found two bulls and got both, of them. One had a nice set of horns. Went for a look in the arvo and found the scrubbers, they were back in a closer paddock so we left them and shut some gates to hopefully keep them accessable. Got another sow just on dark, so not a bad weekend. Heres some pics Mick Scrubber horns 7x57 recovered 145 winchester 7mm / shoulder projectile to the left of knife tip Hymenacni and Mimosa processing porkers.
