The younger one's run around anyway trying to knock off the big one's, or at least the food - until the big one comes along. And then if the younger one has the balls, a fight might ensue.

Strange! I was watching a documentary on on what was causing Croc attacks around Darwin. Seems the big old boys beat up the yonger males who then move out looking for their own territory and move into close settled areas.

From what I gather if you get rid of the dominante male the younger ones move about outside their territory less.
