Spent week out bush, had a great time and caught up with a few hunting mates.
It was perfect weather with nice sunny days and balmy evenings!
Goats were a bit patchy top start with but we managed to get onto a few with some areas having some good mobs about.
There were some big billies around in some of the mobs and we got a few of these with me scoring a nice 34 3/4 inch.
Some good eaters about as well and we all had plenty of prime goat meat to bring home.
The first few nights we still had a lot of moonlight around so we waited until the middle of the week before we started to head out at night.
Well there were a few cats around and I managed to get 9 myself (6 shot & 3 trapped) out of the total of 11 for the week. (Should have had a few more too!)
Rabbits were very low in numbers as calici and the amount of cats about has kept them down.
The dams around the place had some good yabbies in them and we managed to get a couple of good feeds from these over the week.
The country is looking good but is starting to dry out but all the critters we took were in prime condition.
