Interesting that in one of the UK papers recently were a whole load of photos of flys etc during rain storms to show what happens (their may have been some with dew on them as well). Your photos are up there with the best of those.
I'd love to see it first fly when all the water leaves his wings - that is if he does fly like that and not wait for it to dry / evaporate. .
Nigel that would have been THE moment when it first shook it wings to rid itself of the dew drops,as it was I waited till the sun started to shine a bit more through a big red gum it was in the shadow of and couldnt be stuffed waiting much longer as funny enough the mozzies were ureal and that was in the paddock!
JH we may have had a light one down on the flats where it shows up on the laying down long dry summer feed first due ti the insulation factor..i think our ground is still too warm yet.
