Ahhhh.....the good old days!
This brings back memories of a mate of mine Tull and myself shootin Carp, in the Molonglo River!
Tull used have the lease on the land where the Molonglo ran through, just west of the Canberra CBD.
In one part of this area, the river runs through some gorge country with 40 meter high vertical walls on one side. We'd sit up there, 20 meters apart and "Get Up Em" with our .308's, when ever one chose to raise its head to the surface or near enough to it. As always, a direct hit was best but even a close miss, would stun them long enough to finish them off!
Forgot to mention, this location was probably under 10 minutes drive, to Australia's, National Parliament House and even less, to the CBD!
Ahhhh.....the good old days!
