With such a high flood level heading down the darling carp will be spread far and wide and will be found in creeks, dams and areas where they have not been seen before.
The best biological control for carp is greater numbers of native fish, especially Murray cod, being present. We have seen this very clearly in the Upper Murray Darline in Northern NSW. Cod numbers go up - carp numbers going down, dramatically!!!
Makes sense, doesnt it!!
