Keith found the H-mantle's to be a bit soft in his 8x68S when used on moose and elk. He did like the 225gr, I think they were, Hornady's and the heavier 185 to 195gr. Norma yellow plastic tipped bullets. That was a good moose bullet from the 8x68.

Incredibly, the fairly light 187gr. Remington's I think, seemed to hold up well - IIRC.

The factory 187gr. cone points were soft as well, seems to me.

Must depends on impact speed. Really close shots are tough on bullets from any high speed calibre.
