For my one, it was handed in on a Friday, a mate saw it at 9.15 on a Saturday morning, I drove across town and was there by 10.30 and had purchased it by 10.45. It would have gone by the end of Saturday if I hadn't.
Interesting inasmuch that the gun scene here prior to the 70s was very limited (restrictive laws and customs duty etc). I've only ever seen 22Hornet, 257 Roberts, 270 and 30-06 in CRF model 70s. The sole exception being Murray Mitchell's c1938 in 375 H&H rimless magnum.
