No one else has mentioned it here that I've seen, but there was an article in The Bulletin a few weeks ago on Penfold and NT trophy hunting [at Gan Gan]. The journo didn't quite grasp what it was all about, methinks. Closer than many of his ilk though.

There's also an article in the current Aust Shooter - a bio and mention of the upcoming auction of his trophy collection on 8th November. He seems all set for retirement, according to this article - business on the market, moving house etc.
