No matter the calibre, big or small, hitting the mark exactly is what is always called-for. The cool thing about a bigger calibre is that you don't have to worry about shot angles so much, as there is nearly always an angle (with the right bullet). With a big calibre, the path to the vitals is always open (at least on Australian game). Even so, rear-raking shots are only done on already hit beasts. |
