McLeish you will get lots of advice here, from those that go out and shoot game which is all the better of course.
If you have ever read much of what I have posted over the years you would know that a high 90% of my sambar have been taken with 150gr Winchester factory ammo sp`s (7mm Rem M)

They work so well and are a terrific bullet out of the 7mm...smack a big stag of 600 pound plus in the shoulder and thats it!I do know the limitations of this combination and don't take ring gear shots though I would on a big fella with a hydro in it.

I`m using the hydros in a new rifle and if i get off my freckle and shoot a few more instead of taking pics of them I will know whether to request them for my 7mm as well.
I will venture out on a limb and suggest you try the h`s over the PP`s.
