You should have a blast. I've been to NZ 3 times hunting and going back this year.

IMO you have chosen well with your boots.

The only advice I have on shot placement is to be aware of the mane on the Tahr. It tends to distort their shape and shot placement.

I don't know of a Taxidermist close to you, but I can highly reccomend Hall's Wildlife Taxidermy at Quirindi in NSW. His name is Geoff Hall 0407 929 030 boartax@bigpond.com He does all my work. If I can find a pic of my life size Chamois, I'll post it.
