Daryl old buddy I for one know the diff between rabbits and hares after a lifetime of shooting them..they are rabbits mate.

Besides my positive ID the Euro brown hare is not a burrowing animal.

There is a bracken fern patch about 60 yards away that if I can get off my lazy ring could sit in with the 22 and head shoot them as they come out of their burrow`s,no meat damage for those that like a roast rabbit.

My old mate Bob did the same thing when I pointed out a heap of rabbits one arvo,he went back and shot 60 off a large warren later that evening.
