I think while the GUILT TRIP was being layed on law abiding shooters after Port Arthur, by the Media ,the brain washed public and ''our politicians'', saw their chance to ban pump action shotguns ,while they were ''at it'' .Our shooting Association [like with pistols at the moment ]took this ''lying down '' and did nothing !!!!! so it was one more step to the ultimate goal of banning the private ownership of firearms in Australia.
