The distinctly kiwi hunting outfit is very practical, if a little unfashonable! Quick drying shorts and polyprop longjohns are great for river crossings and keep you cool when climbing.. living on the plains and having done very little exercise over the past few months certainly made the cooling effect greatly apreciated!
The only drawback is that there is always a good few snow covered spaniard grass that jab you up from your gaiters.. I hate the bloody things
