My first tahr hunt.

I was using a cheap & cheerful (borrowed) Mossberg stainless synthetic .270 with Rem 140gr ammo.

Shots were not far and the .270's did the job. Nannies are not that big, and were both neck shot anyway.

Defiantly worth having a "weatherproof" rifle as we had to cross a waist height river about 40 times the previous day, thankfully we were staying in an old mustering hut and could dry our gear out.

Just picked up a couple of bags of tahr sausages from my hunting mates (they made about 20kg of sausages yesterday).. well thats tea sorted for a while anyway.
