After reading the above comments,I have to disagree that the red buff is actually a banteng bull.
Whilst hunting in the north eastern Arnhem Land a couple of years ago I saw several buff that were actually reddish in color with ivory colored horns.
And no it was not covered in red dust.
I was told by my hunting mate that they were not uncommon,and I'm inclined to agree with him.
He has hunted in the Territory every year for the last 27 years so I recon he knows what he is talking about.
