NitroX , Banteng should be hunted with a large caliber for sure ! I have been charged 3 times by bulls ,once by a unwounded just plain mean bull & one of our hunters in the early days was gored by a wounded bull , back then 300 Mag & 338s were used , even 375s are light & won,t stop a charge unless you brain them , I was tossed & banged up when useing a under powered rifle , I shot him in the nose as he hit me which did not stop him just but him off his shot , he then threw me over the mangroves which saved me !

These are a great animal to hunt , like a smaller Gaur & much more aggressive then Water Buffalo
