Hi Guys

Wondered if anyone could extend a hand of friendship to a close and great friend of mine from the UK about to start a new life down under, he finally leaves the UK with his family on 20th July 08 initially to settle in Adelaide where his wife's family are largely based.

He is a great guy, a keen game shooter and has even had his gun dog (Springer spaniel) shipped out to Aus where she is presently in quarantine. He will have to leave his guns here due to laws in Australia but I am sure he will at some point re-establish himself once he has settled in.

He has recently retired from the British Army after 23 years with the Royal Artillery , laterly as a Sergeant Major. Any one getting to know him cannot fail to like him, a real great all round guy (and a rugby fan to boot!)

I guess it will be some weeks before he has e-mail set up in Adelaide, I think they plan to rent a property for a short while until they find their feet at which point Craig will either try and get work (since leaving the army he has trained as a plumber) or even try for the Police with whom he has already made contact and apparently eligible to join once he is in residence.

It would be great if anyone would be willing to drop him a line when he is settled in and possibly extend a hunters hand of friendship. If so please drop me a pm or join this thread so I can pass details on, army service including 2 tours of duty in Iraq has meant he has been away for large periods of time so to date he has not been a member of this forum but I guess we can change all that!!
