Well, I finally decided to head back to New Zealand for Free Ranging Sambar and Sika. Leaving on July 9. My friend has been seeing 2 to 3 Sambar stags every evening on his scouting trips. This hunt will be on private land but is unfenced. I told my friend I did not want to hunt fenced areas. I have hunted fenced areas, and I do not have a problem with them but I prefer to hunt free ranging whenever possible. If I can figure out how to do it, I will post photo's when I get back. The area will be in the Mountains between Palmerston North and Taupo.

Good luck on your July hunt.
Sika and Sambar sound like a nice pair to try for, especially in the North Island.
Looking forward to your photos hopefully depicting a smiling Brooks with a couple of nice stags.
