I just finished Kirton's BFBBR. Very informative book. Very glad that I bought it.

Jonathan's book is a great way to start getting the British single shot bug. Next step is Wal Winfer's series. He is up to #7 with 2 more to follow.

I've got all of Wal's books. I just liked Kirton's format better.

I have read and reread both of their books. Wal recently suffered a stroke. I'm sure we all wish him a speedy, complete recovery. Jonathan's book, which I read first, convinced me to forget about high grade US single shots and concentrate on those made in the UK.

I can see how that could happen. I was stationed in Scotland in the mid 70's will in the Corps and was introduced to gun guns while there. Unfortunately I could not afford much being a corporal and married at the time. I wish I had had the money to buy the double rifles then as they were dirt cheap compared to now.

My wife and I were there in 1970, but in that same boat.
