Ron Croxon's engraving.

I called in to seen Ron the other day and he had a couple of rifles he'd engraved and that I now have to rust blue.
Every time I see Ron's new work, I think that it just gets better and better.

These are magnificent.
A lovely little Martini Cadet in .22 RF and an Alex Henry.

Hi Afro,

I agree, He is definitely like good wine (gets better with age) and does wonderful work. We are very lucky to have such an artisan in Australia that can do that quality of work.

Thanks Afro I know you'll do an exemplary job. BTW the Martini is a BSA 12/15 (somewhat modified) and the Henry a BPE 500/450 x 3 1/2" case.

I saw these two rifles two days ago at AFRO's workshop. The photos do not do the work justice, I can assure you.

Here is an update on the little beauties.

Rust Bluing is finished.

The screw heads on the Alex Henry still need to be Nitre blued.

I have but two words for that work "Bloody Beautiful" as I would have expected of Ron.

Thanks mate! A great job and as discussed today you have more work (on a 99 Savage) coming your way.

BTW if anyone carps over the Martini buttplate it's off an 1897 patent WR falling block and the purists may well complain abt both but the Henry cost me $500 and had been severely "Indianised" over generations thus the refurb was justified.
