I want to purchase a good rangefinder. What are you using?

I've used a Leica LRF 1200 for a few years, and have been pleased with it. I do find it a little bit on the large side though, and if buying one now, would check out their new smaller version (I don't remember what these new models are called though.).

Will the Leica read out in either yards or meters?

All the ones I've used or seen have had a switch so you can choose between yards or meters depending on what you prefer.

Yes the Leica will read in either yards or meters--as will the new series of Leupolds which ajust for angle of shot as well--I have and use both--the Leica is definitely a better quality product and is much more accurate at longer ranges--I use the Leupold while bow hunting and the Leica while hunting with a rifle--

I also read a test recently and the new Leica was the best of the 8 or so brands they tested--I have had several and Leica is by far the best in my opinion as well.
