Shooting Stix
      #316945 - 30/05/18 04:50 PM

Team, Im trying to buy some shooting stix (put shooting stix into FireFox and you will see what they are). They are available on both ebay and AMAZON. But both sites advise they will not post them to me in South Aus. Can anyone provide any advice on whats going on here or how I might circumvent this? These are a benign item made of fiberglass.
Cheers and thanks in consideration
Bidyanus

Im not after other types of shooting stick. I want the shooting stix.

When I put Shooting Stix in it comes up with all sorts. If you mean the Trigger Stick the fact the have the word Trigger in them stops a lot from shipping them.

Bidy I find it ridiculous when you consider the Trigger Sticks were originally sold as Camera/video Cam supports for wildlife photography.

I feel if the parent company called them Lever actuated tripods there would not be a problem.

Your probably correct but legitimate hunters who are trying to do the right right are paying the penalty because of the DUMB actions of the minority

I tend to disagree, but not wholly. It is more due to the Anti mob and anti police in firearm registry's or higher who think anything with a gun sounding/looking/name can only be a bad thing. If the arseholes actually looked into what Trigger Sticks are they might change their minds. I say might because I think this has been brought to Qlg Firearms registry's attention and they still block them.

Primos “Pole Cat”......directly related to “trigger stix”.
HOWEVER; the name “Pole Cat” might divert the anti-gun nutjobs.....a pole cat in our American improper vernacular is synomymous with the North American Skunk. Certainly ITAR (etc.) export code has no problem with Skunks?

I use them, they work just fine and have held up nicely as well.

OK Team, I got onto Australian Customs. They have no issue with the Shooting Stix. The issue is the seller in the USA. They simply wont post here for one reason or another. Ive got some friends in Sweden whom "I am very fortunate to be able to hunt with" when Im there so Im going to try the Firearms shops over there.

The reason is likely ITAR

Due to ITAR most sellers will not ship anything gun related out of the US

Look it up.

Ok so we need to order them from photographic shops and have them listed as camera tripods.
