The article called this guy Moron of the month but whatever it looks a pretty good effort.

Pretty good stalking efforts.

The writer appears to be quite a nasty over opinionated piece of work. Someone who thinks it is "unethical" to stalk too close to an animal unless it is killed.

Educating moose like that, idiot. Not sure those bulls would ever come in that that again.

Public land elk are now as likely to run from a bugle as come in because they have been educated by hunters that it's dangerous.

And that sort of stuff wises them up to grow old enough to be monsters and drop their guard one day for the lucky hunter.

One way of looking at it, Gryph.

In some areas around here, the bull moose have become very quiet during the Rutt - mainly due to predation by wolves. When the wolves are howling every night, chasing moose, the moose become very wary of giving their location out, as answering a call would do.

Wolves also come in to bull grunts and cow bellows, and elk bugles, as do grizzlies in some areas North a bit of here, as well, just as the dinner bell of a rifle shot, can bring them in. Usually only happens when you aren't hunting griz, that is.
