Well if anybody gives a rats, it shot a 1.5 inch group right out of the box at a 100yrds. I bought it for the father in-law for Elk hunting next year. Cheapest gun I could find.

Was it difficult to load? What load did you use. I've heard that they have a tighter than average bore. I have a Cabela's Hawken Hunter carbine in .54 that is an EXCELLENT gun for the money... in fact, so far, it is more dependable and straighter shooting than the $700+ Dixie Jaeger.... just not as pretty.

It does have a tight bore, but not bad. I bought a Tee handle to aid in loading, and that help quit a bit. The gun is stone simple, which is what I like. The only thing I do not like is the fact that the bolt touches the primer when closed, so you can't keep it primed until ready to fire for safety reasons. However, I have devised a device that allows you to safely keep the primer in and the bolt down. Simply place two patches wadded up over the primer. Keeps water out and primer safe. Also a foam ear plug will do the the same. When ready to shoot remove the covering, takes a split second.

I'm just amazed hoe accurate it is and it only cost $69.00 NEW!
