May be the old Schwedish 10,75x57 cartridge ? A old one derived from the 9,3x57 ?

tHE 10.75X57 was a shortlived cartridge, due to headspaceproblems.

Possible,i prefere the 10,75x68, and that's not a well balanced cartridge!

helo pato

you will have rifle No.7 world wide I know . make brass from 30 06 and order a die set from CH4D. dave have made 2 sets now, my own is in work but I waiting for the rifle to make a chamber cast for the resizing die.
this cartridge isnt swedish but realy a kraut cartridge: Mod.88 10,75mm. it seems that sweden take lot of the rifles between the wars as moose killers. iirc the 10,75x57 shoot the 350 grain bullet with a V0 of 620m/sec when the 10,75x68 makes 680m/sec. not bad for such a little round. all here praising the 9,3x57 and the 9,5x56 would be happy to have such a sporter.
order or make yourself a resizing die to press .429 bullets down to .424. I dont know if the 350 grain .424 woodleigh will work at this velocitys. wim degol in belgium make them with thinner jackets.
we will see how 300 grain revolver bullets work. of course I dont start any reloding but 9,3 or 9,5 MS loads may give an impression how to start.
I have talk with mister triebel last year about the cartridge, he have absolutly nothing about it.

Not a lot of shoulder, that's for sure. Bullet shape, ie: short nose, long body will help with throat touching if OAL allows.

There are cast .44 mag bullets to 350gr. that might be of interest. Veral Smith (LBT) makes some ogive designs that looks good. Once lubed, they can be sized down easily without any distortion - Lee dies work for this.

pato

look here

10,75 basic make from 30 06 with a 8x57 IS
for what I see now 3006 is best way to go for brass, I open the mouth with a 9x57 Mauser and a 9,5x56MS die, last step with a 10,75
cut brass to 57mm and resize with the CH4D die
try to get a bullet resizing die for pressing down 300 grain .429 bullets to .424. because your are from australia use the 350 grains woodleigh bullet for hunting. the original velocity with this weigth was 620 m/sec.
