Rigby Mauser prices

I just stumbled across this site: http://www.pugsguns.com and my jaw dropped at the prices. Are these prices in line with the present market, and if so, who is paying them?

I would think that even the Arab oil sheiks would think twice before paying that kind of money for even the most perfect Rigby magazine rifle, much less one with a Griffin & Howe side mount (and Weaver scope) added. http://www.pugsguns.com/findItem.action?id=1753

seriously though, real rigbys do commend high prices at the moment. at that price i could get a brand new H&H bolt rifle, so wich to chose i dont know.(i would buy double rifles instead, but that is just me)

I strongly suspect that the last month or so has seen his customer base shrink somewhat. There is certainly some nice eye candy/gun porn on the site & a visit to his "Man cave" could be fun but it strikes me he's not really targeting hunters/collectors but those who want into this stuff for the "cachet" that goes with it, sort of like wearing your armani suit with the labels on still.
