I would be interested in any information and/or history those in the know can provide, especially the maker marks. I believe Kuduae may have commented on this in another forum but I have had computer problems recently and lost all information.

The pictures speak for themselves. By all indications the rifle was made with a two piece stock.

Looks clean and original, very nice little rifle.

The rifle was retailed by Simon Heim, Faerberstrasse 32, Nuremberg, founded 1908, but made for him in Suhl. It was proofed by the Suhl proofhouse September 1928. The barrel was made by the barrelmaker Wilhelm Kelber, Beiersgrund 3, Suhl. The rifle was built for Heim by Adolf Schön, Trübenbachstr.11, Suhl, at the end of his career as a master gunmaker. By 1929 the A.Schön business was taken over by an Otto Schlott. It is probably made on a scrubbed and highly altered military action of WW1 vintage.

Neat rifle.

I'd be happy to own it.

Thank you Axel for the information. I was thinking Wilhelm Kelber but I just couldn't fill in the blanks.
