m1895 Take-Down - Info appreciated
      18/06/19 02:01 AM

I was wondering if anyone could help me identify the maker of my rifle? I've not taken the stock off for conservation of the piece yet, so perhaps there is a maker's mark buried in the gun somewhere. That being said, is there anything that points to a maker or region for my rifle?

It seems to be to be a Ferlach or a British piece? I say Ferlach because a take down is no trivial manner and less common on the continent, however, the engraving style is not Austrian. I say British because of the styling and take down method, but no visible British proof marks are obvious.
