Question: pre- or post-WW2 Mannlicher-Schoenauer? After WW2 Steyr changed screw threads from a Whitworth? to a metric pattern. Even the tiny set-trigger adjustment screws are not interchangeable!

thanx longisland, kuduae i assume its a 1936 vintage as theres only a 36. with the original proof mark, i have bought some 1895 steyr trigger screws the treads fit perfectly, just have to extend the thread on one of them, they are to replace to bodged bolts from the previous owner. the outside dia of the thread is .253 in or 6.44 mm, dia of bolt is .274 in or 6.94mm. help what size die do i use

I believe the die that I used to make a screw for my M-S Model 63MCA was a 7mm x 1mm pitch. Don't ask why I had to make a new screw, because I don't want to say.

well cant find a 1/4 x 27 whitworth die on the net but can find 1/4 x 28 whitworth will this be ok
