Baer Stinger Magazine Floorplate?
      09/06/08 09:46 PM

Hello Folks,

I asked this question on the 1911 Forum, but got no answers.

My Les Baer Stainless Stinger (Commander length slide on Officers ACP frame, CCO) finally arrived. As you know, it is supplied with one magazine. Without seeing a picture, I ordered a second when I ordered the gun. Unfortunately, they are supplied with a removable floorplate/base pad assembly. As the base pad sticks out objectionably, I am sorry I purchased the second magazine. Is a replacement floorplate available that will fit flush with the bottom of the grip frame? I would much rather spend a few dollars to repair the Baer magazines than have to purchase all new ones.

Thank you, Tom

P.s., I did purchase a Chip McCormick .45 ACP 7rd Officer's Mag, with which I am satisfied. They fit flush and feed perfectly. Perhaps I'll buy a few more and use the Baer mags for practice.
