I have fired a couple of Gen1's. They came into Australia for testing by the Federal Police. 2 pins not 3 2 serial numbers not 3. I remember them because of this. No difference in the shooting of them.

I still remember when the Glock's first hit the US in the '80's.. had a good friend who's brother was in LE... they switched to them shortly after.. never did have a chance to fire one back at that time however..

I've never fired a Glock, but have shot one of the ERT member's P226 Sigs. It was easy to stay on an 8" plate at 50 meters, rapid fire. That was late 1980's, I think.

see them first in real life in 1992, austrian customs had them
it was in this time only a pistol for military and authorities. the big glock boom came later in the mid 1990s here I suspect because glock had fulfilled the official orders and was looking for new customers.

I believe you are correct on that..here in the US, a large number of LE went the route of the Glock in the 90's..Fed officials had them as well...

In all the handgun training courses I have attended they are still the most prevalent to this day..I don't like the grip angle as much as others however I do like the low bore axis.. and every time you pull the trigger they go bang..
