Nice doggie - I am not familiar with that breed, though. He appears to be an offshoot or very similar to the German Sheppard.(of course)

Similar family to the Belgium Sheepdog then, just different colour - I had an oversized Belgium Sheppard(sheepdog) that looked like your last picture, only black and white(teeth) most of the time. He loved European Hare hunting in SouthWestern Ontario in the winter time. He got the hares.

There are three types of B.Sheepdogs, the Mal, Gronendal (sp?) which is the black one and the Treveuan (again sp?)which is a sable color.

Noticing that the experimental victim in one of the photos is only wearing protective gear on one arm, makes me wonder how does the dog know which arm to bite? Or do the dogs initially have to be trained with a fully padded practice victim until they know what to do?

Richard

The dogs wil bite what ever is offered. We use an arm but there are full body suits as well. We also use a hidden arm to test if the dog is "padded arm happy" and do muzzel attacks. But if there was no arm offered they will grab anything.

My "King" was totally black, not a fraction of an inch of any other colour, brown eyes - glowing red when ticked off - I tried to find an old photo - but it's missing. He ran 95lb. on the scale - very thick & muscular all over - not at all like the trials dogs I've seen of the same breed. Best friend I ever had.
: Thanks for sharing.
