King Salmon Alaska--
      #317262 - 14/06/18 12:19 AM

Flew up to see some of my business clients and friends in Alaska last week..

Had an incredible time..stayed at the King Salmon Lodge in King Salmon, Alaska

Took this the first morning there sitting having a coffee on the front deck

Some of the guys I was with were filming for their tv show which will be aired this fall on the fishing network..show is called WILD FISH WILD PLACES..there was a pro video and pro camera guy along...will have some really good photos to show in a week or two..

Anyway we flew to Brooks Falls from the King Salmon Lodge on Saturday ...which is known to have a very high concentration of brown bears when the salmon start coming in..there were no salmon yet, but they are on their way..so, not that many bears, yet..
I am a novice fly fishing guy at best..yet I hooked into 20+ rainbow trout in about a 4 hour period..incredible..

I saw the bear coming out of the woods, but didn't let the video guy know until he had gotten to within about 70 yards of him..told him to look behind him..could tell by the high pitch in his voice and moving in the water, he didn't like to be "that" close to bears laughed so hard I almost peed my pants...

Brooke Falls looks like those falls featured many times on movies/wildlife documentaries. I assume they are the same ones?

Looks like a fun 'work trip'. Great business you have.

Great when one can have a business which one can enjoy working at, at least for some of the time. A perfect job, where one also enjoys what one does.
