Nothing like cutting the ribs of a fine double for a Trijicon sight.
Some smiths should be flogged...

Do they look bad in any way? I can't see any evidence of the grooves on the photos?

My guess is Belgium. They need to show proof marks.

Igorrock, thanks for the link. If I lived in Louisiana, I think I’d contact this guy and take a closer look at that double. The barrels look beautiful.

This is a beautiful piece of gun art; unfortunately damaged by an owner who probably needed an AR in lieu of a vintage gun.

I am getting closer and closer to needing such sights myself. But not always appropriate on truly old vintage guns. At least if done unobtrusively it makes such firearms usable and not just another safe queen gathering dust in some collection of 300 other safe queens.

No close up side on photos of the ribs to show how obvious grooves are.

A three barrel set is quite unusual, 2x shotguns, 2x rifle barrels, and a combination set. Damascus barrels.
