Bonanza, the link doesn't work for me. It brought up the demonstration of a Sony video camera.

Patience gents!
The film is a demo of a camera - the subject of the demo is the rifle.

Thanks Huvius,

I should have mentioned that my new hobby is vintage video cameras. Before the CCD (charged coupled device) imaging sensor, which is common today, video cameras had image pick-up tubes (dating from 1940) that was in essence a reverse cathode ray tube - fascinating! The image (photons) were painted onto a charged surface and the electron gun "picked" off the voltage which translated to luminance value that could be transmitted and rendered on a TV screen.

These cameras are a living legacy of a bygone era in video technology. They have a special look and feel that can not be reproduced with a ccd and especially Digital.

Who knows, in the distant future I'll have the oldest working tube camera.

Bonanza

PS.

I plan on producing more Double Rifle videos that explore shooting and reloading, stay tuned.

That thar is cause ya'll has a accent, an we'ins don't!

Actualy we do use the word both ways. I use the word pronounced with the the both "E"s as a short "E"s, while you use it with the first "E" as a long "E" or ("EE") and the second "E" as a short "E".

It is amazing how many dialects there are in the English language. There are several in the UK, and several in North America, but still we all understand each other's words! In the hunting fields we understand each other better than some our own people who don't understand hunting at all.

Interesting clip, Blair, and nice rifles. Did you attend the Andy Warhol School of Cinematography, by any chance?

Great video, Blair. Thanks for putting that together and sharing it with us. Very nice rifles, too!

You know, my father was a dedicated amateur videographer and I still have his old equipment, but it's nothing you'd be interested in. One camera is a hand held, leather trimmed De Jur (SP?) with a rotating, interchangeable, 3 lens fixture on the front. It's a hand wound 8mm camera. He used it to film his skydiving pursuits in the Army Rangers and afterward as a club skydiver. This is one of two cameras I have that he used extensively.
