The Remington Baikal side by side double rifle that several of you told me you want, hard to find and hard to get, is now available in some small quantity. The Remington Baikal double rifle in .30-06 caliber only (NO .45-70, so don't ask them) are now available in some quantity from online gun auction, from Pa, (google gun auction) and from Cliff's gun, safes, and reloading in Boise, Idaho, now on Gunsamerica.com(bit hard to find, but they are there). If you want one, I would call them right away, as they won't last long.

I bought some guns from Cliffs over the phone (sent him the FFL) and all come in a timely fashion and well packed. Dave

i called remington a whole 100 were imported.

gunsamerica had them and gunbroker.com had one only 100 came in and they are being sucked up

Call CDNN (google) and order one. I just got mine. Has all the build quality of a Nigerian AK-47, but cost was high, very high!

$290 !!!

Plus $30 shipping

Actually, a fairly nice over/under. Should be accurate to at least minute-of-watermelon at 50 yards.

I think the lads are talking side-by-side. The U/O has been around for ages over here. The SxS is probably more expensive (...if that's the correct term!)

Are you saying you bought one for $290 ?

If so, how are they US$1000 on gunbroker ?

500nitro, Yup, it's sitting in my safe. I bought it exactly as I said. The people at CDNN actually asked me "how many do I want.' I'm not good at posting photos, but should there remain doubt, I can pull the credit card invoice and receipt and copy them. Failing that, I'd be more than happy to sell it to you-or anyone else (as I see you're a long way from Nevada) for $530. Note: they were over $900 when Remington almost started selling them.

I downloaded their on-line catalog & found their Baikal
Overs & Unders for that price !

My experience with Remington in the last few decades is that they are quite "put out" to lower themselves to even speak to a lowly customer. They make a point to let us know that THEY will decide what THEY will let us have, and if we don't like it, that's just too bad.

I would not expect to see that policy change with this rifle or any Remington product.

It's really too bad. They have a potential to be so much more, but they bite the hands that feed them as a matter of company policy.

Can you post some really good pics of your rifle. All angles if possible. Every picture I see is off the Remington website. I would like to see the rib from top and bottom, wood and any other pic that you could post.
