Do you mean a Purdey 369 or a genuine H&H 375 ?

Most Purdey .369s were re chambered to the .375 Flanged by owners who could not get or didn't like the original ammunition.

My info from Purdey is that only 72 .369 were made prior to being discontinued in the early '70s.

I do not know how many have been made recently nor do I know of how many .375 were made but I would guess the number is quite small for the older guns as well as the newer ones.

Good Luck on finding one but be aware that if it has been re chambered the value is substantially less than the .369 in equal nick.

Intersting Mickey, I am not sure about your evaluation on a Purdey .369 vs one rechambered to .375 flanged, if there are 72 made in .369 possibly 20, or less, have been made in .375 since, General War will have the numbers, but I reckon in auction you would get more for a Purdey re- chambered for a current cartridge, esp .375, than an obsolete, if in good nick, best, Mike

Speaking for myself, I would prefer the original chambering since both the 369 Purdey and the 375 Flanged are handloading propositions and both use the .375" bullets.
I can see the neccessity of a rebore/rechamber in barrels which are badly corroded, but a rechamber of a classic double while leaving the bores alone I don't like as much especially in two cartridges which don't have that much practical difference between them.
Not like the .375 Flanged brass is any easier to source today than the 369 Purdey anyway.

375 Fl Brass isn't hard to find.

I believe a fair few of the purdey's were rechambered around the same time the Rigby's (the 350's that were made into 9.3x74R's (and my 375 Fl) were by Paul Roberts.

A fair amount of this type of thing seemed to go on looking at what comes on the market.

Actually General War bought my .369 Purdey. He has since sold it I believe.

A genuine Purdey 375 ,not a rechambered rifle is required.

I don't think I can count high enough to guess the cost of such a battery, but no doubt it will edge into seven figures USD. Would love to see photos at some point if your friend is agreeable.
