Cape Buffalo with 470NE

Hi all, I’ve been lurking here for a couple of years, finally have something to post! I’ve just returned from my second trip to South Africa. I took this Cape Buffalo with the PH’s krieghoff 470. One shot at 80 yards through the heart put him down in 40 yards! Also took a Zebra with the 470 at 130 yards. Great hunt!

Great pics & looks like you had a magic hunt, especially from your facebook pics. Loved the markings on the Zebra, Grants or Burchells? Hope you can find yourself a double.

Find youself a good double rifle, and set yourself up to hand load for it. That 470NE factory ammo sells for $380 USD per box of 20, that is $19 USD per shot, so handloading is a real idea for that reason, and so you get the very best your double has to offer regulation wise.
