That's very interesting...I've seen that gun, along with the SxS double rifle Sharon's dad had also had custom made. Sharon (who through marriage has a different last name than is on the gun) is married to a friend of mine. She is a beautiful blonde that loves to hunt and is a booking agent for hunting trips on the side. She has hunted in Zimbabwe and with Luke Samaras in Tanzania with her dad.

Perhaps it is the O/U barrels or that it isn't in a NE chambering and it has single selective trigger. Yes that is cheap for that nice rifel. Who bilt it?

If you think this one's ornate, you should see the .470 that this gunmaker also made for them. It also has a highly controversial ensignia from the loser of the last world war on it. I would image that might make it a challenge to sell.

Quit talking about it and post a link! Besides, if a side by each .470 costs $5,000 because of a really bad idea for engraving, it'd be worth it. All you'd have to do is put some duct tape over the sideplates.

Yes, that um, mark, was on more than one of their rifles. The 375 SXS -- which was happily free of that bit of 'decoration' is now in my family gunroom, as we discussed in another thread and shots very, very well. It is now being shot by another "beautiful blonde," Mrs. Dnovo. I don't understand why they decided to put that offensive mark on some of their other rifles but it soured the other rifle in this collection in my eyes when I might have otherwise grabbed it. As for this one, very nice, but, for me, too ornate as well. Dave

Out of curiosity, where did you see Sharon's guns? She showed them to me a few months ago but I didn't know she was actively trying to sell them.
