It could be hunted hard and enjoyed! Just don't have the $$$ at the moment!!

Would 10-11K be a good deal on it? Any guess at the retail purchase price?

Go for it! Offer what you are comfortable with. The worst they can say is "No."

If they go to cussin' offer a little more.

You need that rifle.

Hmm!

Wife and rifle both go off like a grenade but at least the rifle is predictable!( ++++ )

Wife doesn't know my guns but is always asking "how much did THAT cost.When I ask about her innumerable shoes and her closet stuff--silence!!( ____ )

Wife won't go hunting or do outdoor activities but my sons will gladly go!!( ++++ )

MY guns can be given to my children(++++)

Life is SHORT!

The wife reviews all the fiances( UGHH!!! )

Life just got shorter!!

Enough fun! The gun is certainly worth a call----

Looks like a PH. Current price for a new PH is $10,500. Anything over $7500 would be too much for a used one.

A recoil reducer in a .450/.400???

Most wives do not understand that our gun collections would not cost nearly as much if they did not have to spend just as much money on their useless stupid stuff. That really makes our guns cost twice as much, just trying to keep them happy. In 20 years they all say, " well look what you have spent on guns" and they conveniantly forget all they have spent over the years. Just because it has not accumulated in a safe. Most guys would have much better gun collections if they were single. But..... most of us like being married anyway.

It is better to ask for forgiveness than to ask for permission.

You need to get acquainted with the principle of gun insurance. It is called jewelery, and must be bought prior to bringing a new gun into the house.

If you have a few guns, you can avoid insurance by saying you traded for it. But that works only once or twice.

If you are really desperate, walk backwards into the house with the rifle. This is only generally effective with blondes.

400 Nitro Express is right, the price seems too high and the recoil reducer is going to affect balance in a way you don't want.

I agree. I think the price is too high for a PH level riflle without engraving etc.

Regarding the wife -Been married 29 years with 4 children and going strong.A wonderful mixture of love, tolerance and commitment!! Didn't realize I was joining a conversation and debate club on everything real or imagined including ME !!

When do you know you have lost control of the decisions in your marriage??
