SELL: Model 1903 Mannlicher Shoenauer full stock rifle in California

This would make someone a good hunting rifle; 6.5x54ms full stock rifle (23 inch barrel) imported through Von Lengerke & Antoine, Chicago in 1920.

Good bore and wonderful double set trigger. Never modified for scope use. Has the old lyman no. 36 swing away peep sight and the original barrel sights. Metal is in good shape.

It had an old red recoil pad when I got it, that has been replaced with an extra spacer and pachmayr old english pad for the warmer hunts here in California. Don't have the LOP, but with the extra spacer and without a heavy jacket, it fits me fine. It had an old quarter inset into the stock, that was replaced by a wood plug.

For some reason, with the barrel sights it prints over 4inches high at 100yds with 160gr ammo. I haven't tried to tailor loads for it.

It's time for someone with better eyesight to hunt with this one. I've also got once fired brass, and 100rds of Prvi Partisan 160gr ammo, 100rds of 140gr hornady ammo from Graf&Sons available if needed.

The barrel on this rifle appears longer than that of the carbine (18"). How long is it? What is the length of pull from the front trigger to the back of the pad?

Just a quick measure of the barrel is either 22.5 inches of 23 inches depending on a guess of where the bolt stops. I'll get a better measure with a cleaning rod this evening. The LOP is 13.75 inches to the front trigger. The extra barrel length and the pad add a bit of weight, on a postal scale it comes in at 7lbs 1oz.
